True Blood Then and Now.. Are you True to the End??

Well so far I'm guessing there have been quite a few complaints about the new/last season of True Blood. I've read a few on Twitter.
First let me start by saying again, when this show first started, I was hooked. I was obsessed. I watched the first season, and that is what lead me to the Southern Vampire Series written by Charlaine Harris. Or another name for them is the "Sookie Stackhouse novels".  Now I really didn't pay attention to much to the opening sequence, so it took me a little bit to realize the show was "based off " the books, not going completely by them. When certain parts happened on the show I was like... what? wait a minute that's not how it was in the books..
But I loved the show, I liked some of the twists. In the books, Lafayette dies in the first or second one. So him not dying in the show, was actually a great change. His character is great.
So at first I was ok with the show not going completely by the books.
I've read all the books except for the last two. I think there's 13. In my opinion the first 10 are the best. After those, I think the author gets kind of tired, of writing about Sookie, so like the show after a few seasons, the books went a little crazy.
The show went more crazy then the books. After the 6th season, I wasn't surprised that they said the next would be the last. I was completely disappointed in the ending of the 6th. Sam being a mayor, Arlene owning the bar.. with a completely different name. Really, Merlotte's being a major place in the show through out all the seasons, and you change the name. So STUPID!!
Well now the last season is going on it's fourth episode and it's sux in my opinion. But, everyone has their own, so don't get pissy at me for posting mine.
First of all, Tara dies!! This being the last season, I expect deaths. But the way Tara died, was stupid, and very rude of the writers. First of all it was not shown!! A character that has been on there since season one, loved by the fans, and her death isn't shown. She's just a puddle of goob. Yea Rutina Wesley said she went out fighting. But you don't see her die! You see her kicking butt, then a second later her mom is crying and holding a puddle of goob. Her character deserved more than that. We didn't even get to see Pam react when it happened. Pam didn't bring it up till like two episodes later!
Second thing, Alcide and Sookie dating. Now I'm glad she's moved on, but you can tell from the start it's not going to last. Instead to make room for Sookie to probably hook up with Bill again, they kill off Alcide. But you get to see his death.. even though he came a long after Tara, you get to see him die. Alcide's death didn't surprise me as much as Tara's. But if they went by the books, there could've been a lot more things to do with Alcide's character. For example, he could've been pack-master a lot longer. There was a huge were-wolf /were-wolf witch fight that he could've been in, and Sam changed into a Lion helping the regular were-wolfs. That was a awesome thing, that didn't happen in the show. I honestly get tired of seeing Sam as a dog, or bird, or fly. Also there was a big pack master fight, that was in the books which introduced a great character that wasn't in the show at all. Quinn the were-tiger. Yes I said a were-tiger. He also had a fling with Sookie in the books. And there was more to do with Alcide's ex Debbie Pelt. Her family came looking for her, and her sister almost killed Sookie in the books.
Something else, that could've been in the show, and gave Jason Stackhouse a little more show time, besides playing a boy toy, or a wanna-be cop. The whole Crystal storyline. In the books, all the stuff happens, that happened in the show. Jason gets kidnapped, and bitten several times. But in the books Crystal and Jason love each other, she doesn't just use him for sex, and let other girls rape him. She actually gets pregnant, and gets her baby ripped out of her, and gets killed by a vampire elder I think. (someone who's above Eric in the ranks, or it could've been some fairy people, haven't read the books in a while.) Oh and Jason actually does become a were-panther. Such an awesome storyline that wasn't in the show. In the show, he doesn't become a were-panther cause they say you can 't turn because of a bite. Which is ridiculous, because in just about every were-wolf movie (or show, any Teen Wolf fans??)  you can get changed by a bite. =P Well except for Twilight. But to me that's kiddy stuff.
Also in the books was a bombing at a hotel, Eric marries Sookie (unknowingly to her), SO MUCH THAT WASN'T IN THE SHOW!!!
So, am I TRUE TO THE END?? I have to say yes. I started out hooked on this show, and even though I can't stand how it's going now, and wish they would've done things differently, I am going to watch this season to the end. The show led me to the books, which I plan on re-reading.
If you haven't read the books I suggest you do. If you liked the beginning of True Blood, and kind of fell short the last few seasons, or if you like the show no matter what. The books are also very good.
They are by Charlaine Harris. And this is the order of them.

I know I sound like I'm not a fan anymore, but the show changed. At least in my opinion it did. And I think it could've been better the last few seasons. But I'm still a fan, I'm still a Trubie. And I hope the show ends with the big bang that it deserves. =)
