All I have to say is "Just look at the Flowers..."
Oh and that it is the morning after the episode and I'm still in total shock.
The whole episode featured just Carol, Lizzie, Mika, Judith, and Tyrese. And it was some amazing acting.
In the beginning you think things are going to be good, because they find a house, in fact they're actually thinking about staying there.
But there's some problems arising. One being of course, Lizzie and her obsession with the walkers. Treating them like pets, and not wanting to kill them. Which can cause problems and it does.. Mika almost gets killed by one.
And another problem is Mika, she's so innocent, reminding Carol of her Sophia. Her problem is killing period.. I'm guessing, although in this episode I think she does a pretty good job. (just needs some work with aiming) She does decide not to kill a deer, which later you see the deer again, and if you're anything like me, you'll cry. =(
And then a third problem is Tyrese still going on about Karen. And of course Carol killed Karen. So Tyrese has no idea and Carol is carrying around that burden.
The biggest shock of all comes after Carol almost tells Tyrese about Karen. They come back to the house, only to find Lizzie all bloody, knife in her hand, and poor Mika laying on the ground, dead. (At this point I think everyone was freaking out) But when you think about it.. this was kind of expected. We all knew Lizzie was going to end up killing someone, the surprise for me was that it was her sister. But not only did she kill her sister, she was about to kill Judith, and immediately told Carol and Tyrese both. (wow, she's got problems)
Tyrese takes Lizzie to the house, while Carol is left with Mika's body, and you can tell it's like Sophia all over again to her. She never saw her daughter "die", she seen the walker version. So now all these emotions are running through her. And what's left to do now?
Her and Tyrese have so much to think about. The future, who else will Lizzie hurt in the future? It comes out (Lizzie told Tyrese) that Lizzie was the one that was feeding the walkers, and did surgery on a rabbit. (well we already knew that) And they come to a conclusion. Which is a bit of a shock. I guess, eventually it'd have to happen.
Carol leads Lizzie out to "The Grove", with Tyrese watching from the window. The whole time Lizzie is pleading with Carol telling her she's sorry. Of course I'm watching this going.. Oh my gosh.. oh my gosh... she's saying she's sorry! Not realizing what Melissa McBride stated on The Talking Dead later. That the whole time she's pleading with Carol, she's not saying she's sorry for killing her sister (Mika), she's saying she's sorry for pointing her gun at Carol. (Which happened earlier when they found Mika dead, Lizzie wanted Carol to leave Lizzie alone, and wanted Mika to "turn")
So she feels nothing, after she killed her own sister.
She's mentally lost it. And can no longer be with other people.
Carol leads her to the Grove, and eventually tells Lizzie to "Just Look at the Flowers", all while crying herself. Then in a few seconds, with one gun shot, it's over for Lizzie.
That was one HUGE emotional rollercoaster!
Then they bury Lizzie and Mika. And Tyrese and Carol have a "talk".
They sit at the kitchen table, or possibly a breakfast nook and Carol passes a gun to Tyrese. (you know what's coming right?)
Carol tells Tyrese that she's the one that killed Karen, and the other guy. (David maybe??) She explains why she did it.
And tells Tyrese to do what he has to do.
There's a couple seconds where he grips the gun, but he lets it go. He forgives Carol, and says he'll never forget, but he does forgive her. They decide they can't stay at the house. (who would want to after all that just went down) And they make their way to Terminus. (HA I remembered the name of the town. lol)
Again I have to say as a huge fan of the show, this second half of the season, we've seen some awesome acting. Not just a bunch of blood and guts, but really emotional stuff. And with only two (yes TWO) episodes left, it makes you wonder.
There's going to be one hell of a finale, and no telling what's going to happen next.
I think that this episode, was the most emotional yet. Yes there was Sophia, and that was pretty crazy seeing her walk out of the barn, and there was Laurie's death, and Andrea's. But this one, with two kids dying one right after the other. Soo many emotions to deal with. It just goes to show you why The Walking Dead is such an awesome show, and why it's so popular. The writing, the actors, the creator, I applaud them all!
